Buddhism Lecture with Ven. Jian Hu

The Diamond Sutra

This lecture will explore the Diamond Sutra, which is one of the most influential Buddhist scriptures in Asia. Its unique blending of paradoxical concepts and unification of opposites bring profound insights into the most ordinary things in our life, making it a favorite for Zen practitioners everywhere.

The Abbot of the Zen Center of Sunnyvale, Ven. Jian Hu, will be in Denver, Colorado, for two days. This is a great opportunity for seasoned or new practitioners alike to partake of the great wisdom in the Buddha’s teachings and gain a better understanding to different ways of applying Buddhism in our lives.

Ven. Jian Hu came to the United State as a teenager and graduated from UC San Diego with a doctorate in Computer Science. In pursuit of more meaningful existence, he renounced worldly attachments and became a monk, he became the Dean of its Buddhist Institute.
