Comment on Handwritten notes vs. typed notes: is there a difference? by IX Mendoza https://studyright.net/blog/handwritten-notes/#comment-6 Wed, 17 Sep 2014 17:15:55 +0000 https://studyright.net/?p=3027#comment-6 I’m a high school teacher have been talking to my district about this for months now I’m glad to have this vindication. my district is sort of blindly going into a computer for every single kid and trying to have them do all their work on computers only and it just seems like it’s such a wrong direction to go in.

Comment on Learning by osmosis isn’t a thing. by Skylar Anderson https://studyright.net/blog/learning-by-osmosis/#comment-8 Sun, 22 Jun 2014 01:30:01 +0000 https://studyright.net/?p=3779#comment-8 Avery, great comment. We’d definitely agree that you can learn by immersing yourself in a foreign country. Possibly the only difference we’d have is that we’d call that ‘learning by immersion’ rather than ‘learning by osmosis.’ We’re basically just pointing out that learning effectively requires engagement and active involvement. I think attempting to learn a language in a foreign context is a great example of active learning. It’s definitely work, and we’d say that if you can speak another language, you’ve definitely produced something. Is that helpful at all?

Comment on How to kill procrastination (and why one common solution doesn’t work) by Shawn Dumouchelle https://studyright.net/blog/procrastination-deadlines/#comment-2 Tue, 13 May 2014 05:23:00 +0000 https://studyright.net/?p=3692#comment-2 I have and always am dealing with this issue. It’s no joke. It’s not just the run of the mill procrastination. Where I miss a deadline or two. I have life altering procrastination. I could easily double my income, all from home, if I just applied myself. The problem is, that I never do it for me. I’d do it for a “boss” or something external, but, I won’t do it for me.
